Aşkın Asan has loved art since childhood, inspired by the stunning landscapes of her hometown, Trabzon, Turkiye. Growing up surrounded by vibrant flowers and lush nature, she found her passion for painting early in life. 

While her career took her into academia, politics, and diplomacy - serving as an academician, Member of the Turkish Parliament, Deputy Minister, and Ambassador of Turkey to Indonesia - her love for painting flowers remained constant. 

Now retired and living in Geneva, Switzerland, Askin dedicates her time to her lifelong passion for floral art. Her paintings celebrate the beauty of nature, inviting viewers into a world of peace and joy.
